Ammex Masonry, Inc. – Denver Metro Area (Commerce City, CO) Ammex Masonry, Inc., a leading commercial masonry contractor specializing in high-quality brick, stone, and block construction projects across the Denver area, is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Safety Supervisor to join our team full-time. In this hands-on role, you will promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards, and support our field crews on commercial job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety walks and job site inspections to identify hazards, with a focus on masonry-specific risks such as scaffolding erection/dismantling, silica exposure, and material handling.
- Provide expert guidance on scaffolding safety and fall protection systems, ensuring proper setup, use, and compliance (including guardrails, personal fall arrest systems, and tie-offs).
- Attend job site meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-construction safety briefings to communicate safety protocols and address team concerns.
- Perform follow-ups on workers’ compensation cases, including incident investigations, return-to-work coordination, and documentation.
- Deliver personnel training sessions, orientations, and ongoing education for field employees on safety topics, hazard recognition, PPE usage, and best practices.
- Assist in reviewing, updating, and improving our current safety manual and program to align with evolving regulations and company needs.
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and crews to implement corrective actions and maintain a zero-incident mindset.

Requirements:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required for effective communication with diverse crews).
- Strong knowledge of scaffolding safety standards (e.g., OSHA Subpart L) and fall protection requirements (e.g., OSHA Subpart M).
- Experience in construction safety, preferably in commercial or masonry environments.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification required; additional relevant certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid) a plus.
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout the Denver metro area and work in a field- based environment.
- Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
