RISK CONTROL CONSULTANT (ASSOCIATE OR JOURNEY)

 

The Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) seeks a full-time Risk Control Consultant to provide broad risk control services to member school districts throughout the State of Colorado.

Risk Control Consultants work directly with Members to assess risk and implement mitigation and prevention strategies. This is accomplished through a number of means, including: developing and delivering presentations and training to Members; analyzing claims and recommending loss control solutions; conducting on-site visits of Member and making recommendations; performing research and responding to requests for information; and assisting in the development and review of Member policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently and concurrently managing multiple projects and tasks, be detail-oriented, and provide outstanding customer service. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required. The candidate must be a clear communicator, have strong public speaking skills with the ability to present information or training programs to large audience; and communicate effectively in writing. Candidates will research, write articles for publication, produce training materials, and identify and evaluate subject matter experts for Member training. A background in risk management and public entity experience is preferred.

This position involves frequent in-state travel with up to 30 overnights per year. Candidates should have a clean driving record and be willing to become a Certified Playground Inspector within the first year of employment.

Salary range: $45,000 – $70,000
