Title: Managing a Rolling Owner Controlled Insurance Program (ROCIP)

Description: This presentation will review the process for activating and managing ROCIPs at the Denver International Airport, as well as benefits, process improvements, and lessons learned. The current active ROCIPs account for approximately $4 billion in construction contract value and includes large programs such as Great Hall Terminal Renovation, Concourse Expansion Program, Pena Blvd., and Taxiway EE.

Speakers: Suezann Bohner, MS, CSP and Hope Olthuis

Suezann Bohner, MS, CSP

Suezann is the Construction Safety Supervisor at Denver International Airport. She oversees a group of safety professionals tasked with enforcing the safety provisions and standards of the ROCIP and non-ROCIP construction contracts. Suezann is a Certified Safety Professional and has a Bachelor of Design in Architecture, a Master of Science in Building Construction, and 3 years post-graduate research in Construction Safety for Design, Construction, and Planning from the University of Florida. In her free time, Suezann enjoys remodeling her home and traveling with her family.

Hope Olthuis

Hope works as a Risk Administrator at the Denver International Airport. She manages the insurance side of Rolling Owner Controlled Insurance Programs. Hope has worked in the risk management and insurance industry for ten years. She recently completed her Master of Studies in Law – Ethics and Compliance degree from CU Boulder. In her free time, Hope enjoys watching old horror movies and seeing live music with her husband.
